My Story

Qualifications and Experience

Discovering aware parenting has supported me to raise my children in this beautiful way with connection and compassion, whilst navigating the ups and downs of life. It has also helped me to support myself to heal from some of the challenges of my childhood. As a child born in the 70’s, when not much was understood about how to raise children with conscious awareness and connection, I experienced broken attachment and trauma, including being in boarding school for 10 years from the age of 8. Aware Parenting has enabled me to break the cycle and create deeply loving and connected relationships with my own children.

As well as Aware Parenting, my passions also include Homeschooling and Natural Learning, having supported my children's learning at home all the way through their "school" years. I really enjoy supporting other families to offer this to their children too. I also love time in nature, dancing, swimming in the ocean and cooking.

I have a degree in Psychology and completed post-graduate courses in Human Communication Science and Counselling. I continue to be fascinated to keep learning more about attachment theory, trauma, pyschotherapy, healing and supporting children and parents to thrive. I keep evolving my practice, undertaking courses and trainings to upskill myself in new healing modalities and techniques.

Aware Parenting has transformed my life and I see every day the powerful way it brings connection and compassion to the many families that I support. I look forward to sharing this with you.
