About this workshop

Aware Parenting prioritises connection and compassion in our families and gives parents the tools to create respectful and loving relationships with their children. It provides strategies to support children to be cooperative, connected to their authentic selves and loving.

Do you want to learn more about Aware Parenting? Does this way of parenting consciously and offering presence and empathy to our children really resonate for you? Does it make sense to you that your children's behaviour is always communicating a legitimate need and do you want to learn how to tune in to their unique needs, thoughts and feelings so you can support them in a loving and aware way? My upcoming workshop "Supporting our Families with Aware Parenting - Understanding Children’s Behaviour and Creating More Cooperation, Compassion and Loving Connection.” is a 6 hour online workshop which takes place over 2 Sundays - dates are to be confirmed.

This online workshop will dive into the theory and practice of Aware Parenting and bring more conscious connection to families and support parents to embody Dr Aletha Solter's transformative and powerful Aware Parenting approach. It is open to everyone, whatever stage you are at on your aware parenting journey. It meets part of the requirements to become certified as an Aware Parenting Instructor yourself, if this is something you are interested in exploring. If you would like to learn more about this transformative and powerful approach to raising our children, I invite you to join.

If you would like to learn more about how to build strong and loving relationships in your family, to navigate many of the challenges that we face in our modern family lives and to embody this ground-breaking approach to parenting, I invite you to join this workshop.

Aware Parenting and Natural Learning workshop

A 4 hour online workshop to explore how to support your child to learn and thrive at home

Dates to be confirmed
A 4 hour online workshop

About this workshop

Aware Parenting questions most traditional assumptions about raising children and proposes a new approach that significantly improves relationships within families and prevents many of the behaviour problems that parents face. Many parents who are drawn to Aware Parenting also start to question other assumptions about supporting children's well-being, including the wisdom of sending their children to school.

When we choose to raise our children with close connection, without punishments or rewards, focusing on meeting their needs, having respectful democratic family life, supporting our children by offering them empathy and listening when they are experiencing stress and trauma, and supporting their emotional safety and healing with attachment play, it often leads parents to realise that sending their children to school, where none of these things are available, is perhaps not in the best interests of their children or their families.

But parents are also often confused about how to support learning, how to navigate the challenges of home-schooling and how this life can actually work. Parents need information and guidance on options for home-schooling and advice on how to make home education enjoyable, effective and fun.

This 4-hour workshop will give you the answers.

This online workshop will show you how to support your child/ren's learning at home, how to bring aware parenting principles to your homeschool life, the benefits of having our children at home with us and how to get the practical and emotional support we all need so we can enjoy these precious years with our children and so they can thrive, free from the trauma and conditioning that many children experience in school and so they are free to stay deeply connected to themselves and their own unique, lifelong journey with learning. I will be sharing my 19 years experience of supporting my children's learning at home and 17 years of practicing Aware Parenting. I will be answering your questions about how my family has travelled the joys and challenges of home school life. I will provide resources and practical suggestions that you can refer back to again and again should you choose to practice Natural Learning and Aware Parenting at home.

Topics include:

• How Aware Parenting and Natural Learning go together so well What is Natural Learning
• How children learn and how to support their learning
• Cultural conditioning about learning and schools and how to decondition yourself from this
• School trauma and how to minimise the stress and adversity in your child's life
• How to bring attachment play to learning and healing
• How to deepen your practice of listening to feelings, especially when accumulated feelings are impacting your child's capacity to learn
• Cultivating more trust in your family Navigating the challenges of having your children at home with you instead of at school
• How to set up practical strategies to make your aware parenting and natural learning journey enjoyable and fun
• How to get really clear on your visions and desires around learning for your family and how to make that work • How to bring Aware Parenting principles and practices to your homeschool life
• Understanding the many benefits of homeschooling
• Valuable resources to support your home learning journey
The impacts of raising our children in these ways
